Scrum Master Certification Program
This is a Certification Course recognised and approved by PMI,USA. Project management is the use of specific knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to deliver value to customer. The development of software for an improved business process, the construction of a building, the relief effort after a natural disaster, the expansion of sales into a new geographic market—these are all examples of projects.
This course has been specifically designed keeping the beginners in mind. Accordingly, good amount of hours shall be spent in developing project management fundamental concepts and agile concepts in the mind of the participants. For deep learning, multiple case studies and excercises shall be included in the course. The course shall run on workshop mode. Number of hours are planned to be 30, meaning 30 PDU program, because of above mentioned reasons.
Today’s business projects likely have high degrees of unknowns and uncertainties associated with them, especially when viewed in the global economy. Many project managers would suggest today that it is nearly impossible to document all requirements, even at a high level, at the beginning of any project, given the speed of economic dynamics. Only after product development commences does the customer begin to realize that what they needed is not exactly what they requested. The cost to business and consumers for this behaviour is immense when projects are not completed satisfactorily, with missed schedules and cost overruns. An approach that deals with the reality of continuous change or which incorporates discovery and learning throughout the project life cycle must be utilized instead. That approach is Agile Project Management.
Agile project management is an iterative approach to delivering a project throughout its life cycle. Fundamentally, Agile Project Management is related to the rolling wave planning and scheduling project methodology That is, the final project design is not known in detail and is continuously developed through a series of incremental iterations over time. Iterations are short time frames (“time boxes”) that typically last from one to four weeks. The goal of each iteration is to develop a workable product that satisfies one or more desired product features to demonstrate to the customer and other key stakeholders. At the end of each iteration, stakeholders and customers review progress and re-evaluate priorities to ensure alignment with customer needs and company goals. Adjustments are made and a different iterative cycle begins. Each new iteration subsumes the work of the previous iterations and adds new capabilities to the evolving product to produce a next, expanded version of the product.
Scrum is an established way of handling iteretive projects in a time-boxed manner. It has got it’s well founded rules and ways of working. It needs a thorough training before you can commence practicing scrum. GSS infosolutions shall provide this 30 PDU program to enable you to practice scrum methodologies in a project.
